Ends this conversation's run and continues the work in a new conversation that starts from the handoff notes.

It is the last step of auto-compact: when the context reaches the threshold, the model writes its notes with create_handoff_note, then calls this tool.

Good to know

• It is refused while no note exists, and while this conversation's subagents or workflows are still running. Stop them from the Tasks pane, or let the model wait for them with task_wait.
• The new conversation, <title>-handover-<n>, appears where this one sits in the sidebar and starts at once. If you are looking at this conversation, Mework switches to the new one.
• It has this conversation's system prompt, settings and tools and a copy of the notes, but none of the history.
• This conversation stays as it is and ends on the Handed off to a new conversation row.
