tool.edit_project_memory.description
Changes one passage of an existing project memory document and rewrites its line in the memory index.
The model uses it to correct or extend what it saved in a workspace's .mework/memory/. New documents are made with create_project_memory. Editing project memory never asks. See Memory and instructions.
Limits
- After the change, the document can be at most 256 KiB and
MEMORY.mdat most 64 KiB.
Good to know
- You can edit the documents in any editor too. The model sees your change the next time it reads the document.
- In a conversation with more than one workspace, the tool takes an optional
workspacenumber saying whose memory to edit (default 1). With one workspace it has no such parameter.
