tool.edit_global_memory.description
Changes one passage of an existing global memory document and rewrites its line in the memory index, once you approve it.
The model uses it to correct or extend what it saved in ~/.mework/memory/ (%USERPROFILE%\.mework\memory\ on Windows). New documents are made with create_global_memory. See Memory and instructions.
When it asks you
Every call asks, at every security level, even when a hook allows it. The card's title, in the app's language, says the change affects memory shared by every project, and there is no Always allow.
Limits
- After the change, the document can be at most 256 KiB and
MEMORY.mdat most 64 KiB.
Good to know
- You can edit the documents in any editor too. The model sees your change the next time it reads the document.
