Reads one of the handoff notes that carry unfinished work from one conversation into the conversation that continues it.

A conversation that continues another starts with the list of notes, the handoff index, and reads each note it needs with this tool. Any conversation also gets it, with the other handoff tools, once its context reaches the Auto-compact threshold. See Auto-compact.

Good to know

• Notes live in handoffs/<conversation id>/ in Mework's app-data folder, with their index in HANDOFF.md, and are deleted with the conversation. The file tools cannot reach that folder.
