tool.preview_click.description
Clicks an element on the conversation's preview page, found by a CSS selector or by its uid from a page snapshot; doubleClick clicks twice.
The element is scrolled into view and clicked at its centre with a real mouse press and release, so the page handles it like your own click. Anything covering that point, such as a cookie banner, receives the click instead.
When it asks you
Asks at Manual and Accept edits; Always allow is not offered. If you have been using the page yourself, you hand it back first in the pane; on a signed-in page, that takeover needs your approval at every security level. See Browser and preview.
Good to know
- If the click opens an alert, confirm or prompt, the page waits until preview_dialog answers it. A file chooser waits for preview_upload_image. Other page tools are refused meanwhile.
