tool.find.description

Finds files and folders by name or path with a glob pattern, so the model can locate things without listing whole folders.

The pattern is tried against each entry's path relative to path and against its bare name, so *.md finds Markdown files at any depth. Matching is case-sensitive, and * also matches across /. Folders come back with a trailing /.

Limits

One call returns up to 100 matches, with the total count. The search stops after looking at 200,000 entries, and then says the total is a lower bound.

Good to know

• Files Git ignores, such as .env, are not hidden: they are listed last and marked.
• .git and other version-control folders can match by name but are never searched inside.
• You can change a recorded find call in the timeline and run it again with Rerun.
